Day 1 Short Lessons Video

Today I started my online training.  Being new to the club, I first tried to find my way around my online classroom. My first goal was to be comfortable and I wasn't disappointed. I felt at home immediately when I started watching Internet Basics Simplified videos. It was a fun day on my first day. For beginners or for people who need some brushing up on the basics of computer, this is definitely useful. I must say for someone whose been on the computer almost everyday this is very refreshing.   There was one video set to private though. Maybe I'll ask around if they have valid links so I can watch it too. Done with basic training all in just a few hours :) Worthwhile and fun!

STEP 2. Pay off debts and cut down interest costs

They say, action speaks louder than words. So to prove myself how serious I am in my journey to financial freedom, I wholeheartedly shell out almost half of my 13th month pay to redeem my pawned items. I have to do this since the interest is making the pawnshop richer every month while I try to make ends meet because of the amount deducted from my receivables every payday. Imagine having to pay the pawnshop the amount of my allowance every month, such a waste, right?

I should have used that money in other stuffs instead like educational books or toys for my kids. On the other hand, I'm thankful for pawnshops since they are the the answers for immediate or emergency needs. But again, I do not advice that you do this often. So to avoid that I'll teach you ways on how to save up for the rainy days.
Sigh... I should have done this a long time ago. But then again, how would I learn if I didn't experience these mistakes? I believe one of my mission is to teach and share life's lessons so here I am hoping you learn a thing or two.
Now with debts, I have started a long time ago in clearing them. Good to say I have only a major one left. The rest have been settled already. It wasn't easy because I have to cut costs to pay them one by one. Now I'm working on my final ticket to being finally free. And with God's true guidance and mentor from books and online blogs, I'm looking forward to a fruitful year ahead. I'm so excited!
Watch out for my future posts about where I get guidance and inspiration.

Step 1. Save for the rainy days

So today I was able to accomplish my primary task. I opened up two accounts for my 2 kids and that's where I'm placing our savings for Emergency Fund (EF) and Education fund (EdF). The Financial Freedom Account ( FFA) would then be on my Primary account. I'll be discussing more of these accounts in my future posts to share with you so you can start your own too. I just started with the minimum amount required since I'm still starting on my project for the next year. As we progress, I hope you're taking notes and planning your steps ahead. My advise is you start Now.

So aside from that I also opened an EON account from Unionbank for my online business. This is the easiest way to get verified on Paypal. As we all know, Paypal is one of the most convenient ways to get paid from online services and products especially if your market is not just locally but also in the US.

So to open an EON account you have to:
   1. Go to a UnionBank branch.
   2. Submit a fully accomplished EON Cyber Account Application form.
   3. Present at least two (2) valid IDs.

Our capacity in spiritual things is measured by the promises of God - Oswald Chambers

think: We need to develop a certain level of belief and trust in God and His promises if we are going to be faithful to His call.

Streams will burst forth in the desert, and rivers in the steppe. – Isaiah 35:6

slowly one by one...

Just the other day, me and my sister settled our financial obligations with each other. I'm so blessed to have generous sisters.  In the future, when I finally reached my financial freedom they are one of the few people whom I'd really give back. <---note to self. :) We finalized the budget for the coming holidays as well as early financial plans for next year. We tried to stretch it out but opted to eliminate the ones we can do without. Now that's a good start.
And speaking of financial obligations, it's one of my driving force why I'm seriously trecking my way to financial freedom.

REFLECTION: God’s love can heal all our hurts

Believing in the promises of the Word of God is the second aspect of the proclamation of the Gospel.

Wish List: Books to Read :)

Christmas is fast approaching and I'm sure Gifts are delight not only for kids but also for young at heart like US :p And since I plan to drown myself to tons of financial information this coming year, I adapted this list as my christmas wish list for December 2010. As per Bo Sanchez, we cannot get it by just attending one seminar. We have to immerse ourself in these topics and live by it. Aha! Now that sounded like a New Year's resolution. :D

my Little Businessman

In my attempt to drown myself into financial literacy I learned that you can start training kids to become entrepreneur at an early age. So to test if this will work with my kids, I asked Ichiro: "Would you like to do business with Mama?" He replied: "Yes!" with that funny smile I know something's playing already on his mind. So I asked him: "So what kind of business would you like to start with?" He replied: "Mama, fruits!" and with much conviction he followed it with: "Bagsak Presyo!!!" (ha ha ha)
Now that reminds me of his consistent prodding to make me sell our stuffs in the house we don't often use. I think It was last year when he suggested that we should sell our stuffs to make us rich. He even pointed at my Avon dinnerware collections! Oh My! And I thought he was just thinking out loud. He even reminded me of the Dakki catalouge he's gonna show his classmates and make them order some pillows. :D
Haha, now I guess that tiny mole at the top of his lip really means something. :D

Baby steps...

So... I finally came up with the title of my blog. I've been searching for a final name that would put all the million ideas bursting in my head to be shared with everyone. I had to search if this title haven't been used yet since there are thousands of mommy blogs online and most of the moms out there are very creative. So what makes it different? We'll find out soon...
